Services Offered

Standardized Test Preparation

Erin offers customized standardized test preparation tutoring for the SAT, ACT, SAT Subject Tests (SAT II), and AP exams. Both as a teacher for Kaplan, Inc. and as a private tutor, Erin has helped many students achieve significant score increases on their standardized tests.

College Admissions Essays

As college admissions have become increasingly competitive, admissions essays have become a critically important opportunity for your student to differentiate himself or herself from the competition. Erin can help your student discover how to give admissions committees insight into who he or she is as a person and a thinker, and she can help him or her revise and polish his or her essays so that they are clear expressions of his or her voice.

Interviews

Erin has conducted admissions interviews for Duke University (her alma mater) for 4 years. She offers students an insider's take on the "dos" and "don'ts" of admissions interviews. She conducts sample interviews and provides detailed feedback about the student's responses.

Application Preparation

Putting together a polished and professional college application is absolutely essential—but also daunting. Erin helps each student organize his or her applications, ensuring that all of his or her high school achievements are highlighted and that he or she is presented as the compelling applicant he or she is.
